Your specialist Support Worker
Helen
Team Leader, Autism & Asperger Syndrome
Helen is a highly experienced Support Worker with a passion for helping Autistic children and their families. With extensive experience in a range of environments, Helen has worked with a variety of age groups to help those on the Asperger Autistic Spectrum to develop new skills and accomplish their goals. Her experience includes:
- Teaching Kindy and Pre-school as a Montessori Director
- Working with the Brisbane School of Distance Education supporting teenagers on the Asperger Autistic Spectrum to home school
- Volunteering for both Asperger Services Australia and Vision Australia
- Being the sole Co-ordinator of the Queensland Asperger Partners Support group (QAPS) since 2008, supporting over 300 families.
In her spare time, Helen loves writing, swimming, playing guitar, archery, and leatherwork, and will always find a way to understand your passions and weave them into conversation.

Our Autism and Asperger’s Team Leader, Helen, has a wealth of experience assisting children and teenagers on the Autism Spectrum. Having previously worked as a Montessori Director and assisting teenagers with Asperger’s to complete home schooling, Helen is also the sole Co-ordinator of the QLD Asperger Partners Group (QAPS), supporting over 300 families living with Asperger’s. Helen is a passionate, caring Team Leader ready to support you and your family when needed and help you achieve your goals.
